I have had two Dr. visits recently. One was for my foot, the other was for my eye.
I'll start with my eyes and work my way down.
I had eye surgery on my right eye back in March. My right eye still turned out a little, so the Dr. recommended having surgery on my left eye. He said that he adjusted all that he could on my right eye, so he would "tweak" the muscles on my left eye to compensate, or draw them closer together. I had this surgery on June 28. I now have double vision. On my follow up visit he advised me that this was normal for 4-6 weeks. I had a follow up visit 0n July 9, and I am still having double vision. The Dr. told me he would refer me to a Dr. in Maryland who was the best in the field in the U.S. I am unemployed and a trip like this is not possible. He took measurements of my eye and I have another appointment with him on Aug. 10. If the measurements don't change, I will have another surgery on Aug 17.
Because of the double vision, I was walking up the stairs and didn't have my right foot all the way on the step, and had all my weight on that foot, I broke a small bone in my foot.
This has not been a great year. First the facility I worked at for over 33 years closed. Then my eye surgery didn't turn out the way I expected. I have to have more surgery. And I broke a bone in my foot. The year can only get better. Right!
