Stomach Flu

This is day 2 of the flu. Yesterday I slept or went to the bathroom. Today, I tried to venture to the Harris Teeter, but they called my husband to come get me cuz I was about to fall out.
I am not tracking what I eat but it is not much. My husband is making me drink Gatorade.
Poor Pearl, the new bike, sits waiting. It has been raining, too, so I wouldn't have been able to ride her. Maybe tomorrow things will come together.
For now, I have lost a measly pound since June 30. I choose to attribute it to the bike and not the flu, but I'll take it from wherever it comes.

    stinks to be sick in the summer. rest and drink all you can. an old fashioned country dr told my mom when i was little; after throwing up wait four hours to drink anything. then it was maybe ginger ale with the bubble stirred out or some tea. then wait four hours if you keep the drink down. then try some tea and toast or crackers. believe it or not it is usually by this time you are through the worst of it and then next meal time you can eat some oatmeal for breakfast or a light sandwich for other meals. never lasts longer than 24 hours for me personally doing it this way. used to be a saying feed a cold - starve a fever.
