I have been a terrible slacker for the last 10 days or so. I found out that I have bursitis in my left elbow, and I've had to take it easy. I tried going to aerobics a couple of times, but not being able to move my left arm much threw off my entire stance and I was painfully sore the next day. So, no more of that for a while! But that's where I've been getting most of my cardio.
And the bursitis meant no more weight lifting either. That means that most of my exercise was walking the dog, and between the heat and the rain, I haven't been able to get in as much walking as I normally would either. The results? Entirely predictable, I'm afraid. A couple extra pounds and instant couch potato status!
But after reading a few Spark People blogs this evening, I've realized that there's no excuse. I can and will go into the gym tomorrow and get some good hard cardio done on the treadmill.
