So I've been having some tingling in my neck that goes down the center of my neck, across my shoulders and down the sides of my back periodically. It started once when I woke up with it at night and it really hurts but subsides after a bit. I finally got it checked out today along with my knee, which has been feeling like something is moving around in the outside back part of my knee. It hurt for a while but since I got better shoes and have kept up with my walking it has gotten better.
The verdict: my goal weight of 145 sounds good to my doctor, so now I need to get a bit more serious since I've been at 155-166 since last July. This morning I was at 154.8, so that's AWESOME and I hope to keep up with that trend so wish me luck! My walking program leaves me a lot less hungry than when I was doing more intense videos such as P90X so that has really helped me eat less.
My neck has a Cervical Paraspinal Muscle Spasm and she suggested physical therapy where they can do some ultrasound and massage to help it out. She thinks it's a muscle spasm pressing on a nerve so I'm hopeful this helps. I do agree, since the right side of my neck is ALWAYS sore and tight (probably from being on the phone for 13 years for work) and a muscle relaxer helped once before so she refilled that and I'll get that later today.
For my knee, she thinks she feels a Baker's cyst in there and it may be in the way of some of the tendons and such in there, which is why I feel like something is moving around in there and the pain has really subsided now that I've been making sure to use my really good running shoes for walking. And there isn't a problem with me continuing my walking program. YAY!
Anyway, I'm glad that there isn't anything seriously wrong and I'm looking forward to starting physical therapy to see if that helps. Hope everyone has a great weekend! :)
