Many areas of the world have learned to tolerate evil. They have become accustomed to those who do wrong and just allow it. They may even become so accustomed to it they begin to partake as well. We have to be careful not to become so complacent about evil doings, that we just let it happen. God hates evil. When we fear Him, we will hate evil as well. We will begin to move away from the things of the world and draw closer to Him. We need to allow God’s wisdom to give us good hearts so we can speak up against evil and make a difference.
Proverbs 8:13 “All who fear the Lord will hate evil. Therefore, I hate pride and arrogance, corruption and perverse speech.” (NLT)
Dear Lord, there is so much evil in our world today. We, alone, can do nothing to stop it. We, alone, can do nothing to remove it. We, alone, can do nothing to change the hearts of those who continue to do wrong. We have to put our trust and hope in You, Lord, doing as You ask us to do and hating what You hate. Help us, Lord, today to understand what is wrong in Your eyes and help us to remove it from our lives. Help us to be an example to others so You can do Your mighty work through us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
