I just weighed in at 158.6 which is a bit higher than I had hoped but I lost 1 inch off my stomach so I'll take it! Last week I weighed in at 157.8 but I think that might have been a scale fluke since the rest of the week was 159.2, 160, 159.6, 159.6, 158.6 and 158 (yes, I record it each day).

I have been reading a lot about the paleo lifestyle (no grains, no sugar or processed food). I cut way back on sugar and grains this week and hope to have almost none in the weeks to come.

I have also been battling the middle of the night eating syndrome - I believe it has a lot to do with low blood sugar in the night - hopefully cutting sugar and carbs will help me maintain a more even blood sugar level. I also finally stared taking the correct dosage of my cortisone and thyroid hormones - I have been resisting because I am terrified that it will make me gain weight and I thought it had something to do with my insomnia. Well it has been one week on the new dose and so far I have felt great. I did have a few sleepless nights but then I slept my best on Wednesday night.

For exercise I have been taking my bike to and from the pool with the kids every morning, I walked the dog at least 5 times and I did the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred twice.

Tomorrow we are off to Lake George (NY) for a week - I am going to do my best to avoid sugar and carbs but eating in restaurants for a week can be hard. I know we will be quite active so hopefully things will balance out.

    I record my weight everyday too. It keeps me on track! I wish my scale was to the .2 though- mine is only .5. Great job on losing 1 inch off your waist!
