This Means WAR!!!!!

Friday, July 20, 2012

I grew up with two brothers. There was only 14 months between my older brother and I so we played together more often than not. Sometimes one would do something that upset the other person and when the rivalry escalated, one would sometimes declare," This means war!" We would then really try to do something to "get" the other person.

Well, I started out on the 8 week diabetic challenge and did well through the first week or two, then have been easing up, not tracking the food, not drinking enough fluids, which leaves more room to eat. Hence, my weight is up 3# and my blood sugars have not gone down like I hoped. One of the problems is that I eat too late at night and the majority of my calories end up being later in the day.

THIS MEANS WAR!!!!!
Things are going to change. I am staying with the challenge. It is war on the glucose levels, war on the food intake and war on the weight!

I AM GOING TO KNOCK OFF THE WEIGHT!
I AM GOING TO EAT RIGHT!
I AM GOING TO GET THOSE FASTING GLUCOSE LEVELS DOWN TO NO LESS THAN 110.

THE WAR IS ON !!!!!!

War is on ! You got the spirit, you have the tools, you have told us of your problem area, now to get you back on track !

Great blog, and we all know of those things that keep us from making our success reality. We all stand with you and when you think of eating something that you have not planned think of us !

Tracking for me is something I know that I have to do if I'm going to make this happen. It all starts with that first 32 ozx of WATER !!!!
That is something that I do right out of bed. I get that jug of cold water from the fridge and before I can eat I have to have that water gone. It does help to fill up the belly from the fast over night.
Thiinking of you as you declare WAR against Diabetes ! I know that you will come out the winner.

13 months between me and my bro .... we were like attached at the hip until he found "girls" ... yuck !! LOL ... he is a severe diabetic and thank heavens I'm not even close to having a problem .... you can get there .... just keep positive thoughts and actions going and keep track of that food in the chart ... it works !!   You can do this! Especially if you get back to tracking...some days, having to put my food into the tracker is the only thing that keeps me on the right road.
