your way soror. I agree with Soror Sonya focus on the blessings and not the things you can't do. Walking is great exercise and a privilege we take for granted way too often. Let yourself heal before you focus too much on your weight loss journey. If you are worried about gaining weight then curb your intake levels.
Your main concern, however, should be to heal and be 100%.
Praying for your full recovery but as others have stated, don't worry about exercise and just focus on getting better...it will take some time so please follow the doctors instructions...
Don't worry about motivation to exercise, just worry about recovering. Get Physical Therapy if you can and do everything they say! I was in an auto accident in November and all I could do was walk until about 3 months ago but I did all my therapists told me to do and now I'm back to yoga and strength training daily!
Hang in there, it'll be a tough road but keep with your program because extra pounds won't help your recovery!
Prayers for you! The fact that you can walk is encouraging! Praying for a speedy recovery. Can you do water walking in a pool? That would add a little more resistance/endurance.
Being able to walk is a blessing; so take this as optimistic as possible by walking at a pace that's comfortable for you. It takes time to heal as well as lose weight and get healthier. My prayers are with you for healing and mental adjustment. Speaking from experience, this too shall pass.
Give yourself the time to recover and adjust. Are you getting a physical therapy exercise assignment? Chair excercises? with walking. Your desire to stay focused on health is evident and can take you far. Eat well, Drink well, and prayers to you.
Most important thing you said "I can't do anything but walk" . Be encouraged that you can walk and that is soooo beneficial to losing and exercising. No matter the pace if you can get in at least 30 minutes a day, you'll be doing well. One thing I miss and loved was early morning walks. That gave me time to walk and TALK TO GOD. So try walking as your body allows... I surely hope you feel better soon. Glad you made out well and know that God is still with you and still loves you, just stay positive and make that move. Hugs
