Swimsuit

Friday, July 20, 2012

When I was swimming today I decided it was time to retire the suit I was wearing. It's the larger of the 2 suits I have been alternating this summer. It felt like it was too big up top and I kept adjusting the right shoulder strap. It's still comfortable on my hips but I've always had larger hips than bust (even tho my bust is not small - take after Nana not Mom when it comes to bust size). I will miss it because it's the only suit I have with a bit of a skirt. Hopefully when I measure at the end of the month I'll find this suit retirement is because I'm shrinking not because the suit stretched out. emoticon

So that means it's time to shop in my swimsuit drawer. The summer after I moved into my apartment I bought multiple suits in multiple sizes when they went on clearance. So I have two suits in the drawer that should fit me now and one that I need to lose more weight to wear. The one I'm going to put in rotation is a really stretchy fabric so I should use it before it's too big. If I can swim in the morning I will find out how it fits.

I'm looking forward to getting small enough to wear my smallest suit because it is orange and yellow and sooooo cheerful. The one I'm retiring is teal on blue. The one I've been alternating it with is blue on blue. The one I'm planning on wearing in the morning is an olive green (not a good color for me - what was I thinking). And the other one in the drawer is blue on blue. While I like blue, change will be good.
