I woke up to rain this morning, and I'm not one of those people that likes running in the rain , so I decided to put it off a day. It turns out tomorrow morning will be cool and sunny, and a great day to do a long run on the Kiwanis Trail. I would bring my camera to take pictures sometime, but it's friggin' heavy. Maybe if I just go for a walk.
Anyway, today I went in to work, for maybe the third or fourth time this summer. Really. I love my job! I have been working from home, so it's not like I'm not doing anything... but the brunt of my work is from late August - December, and mid-January - late April. Can't beat that! During the summer, it's like "Oh, maybe I'll read through this book to see if there's anything I could add to my class" or "Well, I guess I can update my syllabus" or "This lecture was always difficult - how can I spruce it up?" It makes going to school for 25 years sort of worth it.
I've been eating better, and the scale has been reflecting that. Always a good thing.
Tomorrow, after my long run, we're going to finish up our spare bedroom - it used to be an office, and it used to be a work-out room but NOW it will be a bedroom for when friends or family want to stay over. So, Jayninne, if you're reading this... I have a bed for you. You have to bring a pillow still though. We're short on those. Hehehe...
Then Airin's parents are stopping by for lunch, and they're leaving their dog here for the weekend while they go up north to visit family. tomorrow night we're going to a retirement party on a yacht (yes! I'm going on a boat!). Saturday my PAL is coming over! And Sunday is the Color Run. And then Airin's parents will be coming back from up north and staying the night.
So, it is very necessary that I get up early tomorrow, have my coffee, strap on my shoes and go for a long run! Now, how far to go... 5 miles? 5.5? ... 6?
