The wind has picked up here a bit so we haven't paddled the last two days. I added some extra minutes to the elliptical, but I probably should've done some strength training. Tomorrow is a weigh in day and I'm not feeling it for some reason. As a part of the Summer 5% Challenge this week we are monitoring our fiber and I just can't seem to hit it. So I added Fiber Choice to my diet and even with just two or three tablets a day I'm feeling kind of bloated. argh This morning I made a new smoothie recipe that called for spinach. I thought I was in the clear as I was throwing things in the blender (kiwi, pineapple, oj, greek yogurt, chia seed....) but DH caught me and one look at the spinach was a complete turn-off for him. He managed to drink it without too many complaints, but I guess I won't be getting any kind of green smoothie by him ever again!
I'm approaching 6 months here, and if we are to believe that losing an average of 0.5 - 1 lbs a week is the way to go, then I am on track at least. Somehow when I started I had imagined that I would lose 40 lbs by the start of the new school year, not 25 (or hopefully closer to 30 by the end of August). Chris Isaak is on the stereo singing to me and reminding me that "Things Go Wrong" and to get over it. We're eating right, watching our portions. Now I would just like a bit of cooperation from the scale, thank you very much.
