Dh lost his job 4 years ago and got a new job within a month at half the pay. If you have credit cards many of them will help you with hardship programs. I've paid off one of them this way and will have the other paid off within the year. Most creditors are willing to work with people than taking it the shorts. Hope everything works out for you. emoticon

Oh Geri it seems you and I are rowing the same boat. Worker's compensation stopped my check (still hurt they have not even attempted to fix my back or knee) so my income is 0 until January. So all the bills fall on my DH now who also draws his disability.

Like you we are now using the pay as you go cell phones from Wal-mart and that alone saved us 79.00 a month, we cut off the cable and are using an antenna and our Netflex, we are not driving my car at all so no gas there, we are refinancing the other newer car so that payment will go down 200.00 and we are just cutting corners all we can.

Now we are talking more, reading more, playing cards and a few board games and it is wonderful.

Don't let the change get to your health and I will start sending up prayers. Just think back in the day, EVERYONE got along fine with old fashion antenna's outside the house with only about 6 channels, there were NO cell phones or computers and I think we were healthier for it.

Only thing I refused to give up was the internet........heck all my friends live on it.

Chin up gal, love ya dearly. emoticon

So sorry for the changes...changes can be so hard. By the way, last time I was in the states having a hard time sleeping I found an over the counter aide that really helped me. It's a chewable tablet called midnite. All natural ingredients. You might try it.
best of everything to you!
sallie

Changes are indeed very tough! Especially when your used to something for so long. With lowering your bills and doing a refi, just think, you'll be able to spend more time with your wonderful hubby:) It will all work out in the end.
