Sucks to be Me

Thursday, July 19, 2012

Well, nothing is going well these days. My father starts his radiation today. That means I have to get my son to help me with the horses so I can get to my parents' on time to take them to the clinic. I hate imposing on him since his schedule is full with work and school. My mom's breathing doesn't sound good and I think she should start antibiotics now before she develops pneumonia again and end up back in the hospital. I know she'll put it off. She also sounds more and more like she has the onset of Alzheimer's. I'm not sure how to break it to her that we have to talk to the doctor about it. My air conditioner is broken and I can't afford a new one. My phone's charger cord went bad and it'll take about a week to get a new one from e-bay. My plastic window on my Jeep got messed up and can't afford to replace that either. Two birthdays next week meaning more bills. The scale isn't moving and I have to make my appointment to see the doctor to renew my blood pressure prescription. He's not going to be happy with me. Not looking forward to that. And on and on and on. Would be nice if something went right for a change!

Thank you all for all your kind words and support! It amazes me just how many of you reach out to help and so quickly! I think I will actually write down, if not 10, at least five positive things every night. The first for to day is all the support I got from here. Thank you again! The next thing is that the window on my Jeep cleared up so I won't have to replace it after all! Woooo Hoooooo!!! Then they were really super fast at the clinic today so even though my father's appointment was at 9:30 he was done and we were out of there by 9:27! He never even had a chance to sit down. He was also very much relieved to get the first session done and it didn't hurt. Hopefully the treatments will help. Then tomorrow we won't have to be there until noon so I won't have to get my son up early to go to the barn with me. That's a plus for him more so than for me but I always hate putting more on my boys' plates because I remember when my father did that to me when I was their ages. Let's see........ we had a downpour today! That was fantastic! Really needed the rain. So, at least something went right today.

Thanks again for all the kind and supportive words and I sure hope those of you dealing with problems will have improving situations. I'll certainly keep everyone in my thoughts and prayers too.

sorry to hear about all the things going wrong, sometime when it rains it pours. When I get into situations like this (yes sometimes it takes me a while to remember to do this) I start looking for the good things in my life. I try to write down 10 every night and increase that list if I can. Good things I can see from here, You have a son who can help if needed, you still have your Mom and Dad, your Dad is getting treatment, you still have a house and a vehicle to drive. You get the idea. It just helps with the stress to think of some positive things, at least it does for me. Sending good thoughts and prayers your way, things will get better!

Do the two birthdays necessarily have to mean more bills? You know, you *can* celebrate and acknowledge the day without breaking your budget.......just sayin'......

And believe you me, I've BTDT with overwhelming issues myself - I'm not in a very good place right now for that reason (I had a horrible day yesterday and today isn't looking much more promising).......I will keep you and yours in my best thoughts!
