The Habits of Duality

Thursday, July 19, 2012

When we release ourselves from the habit of duality, that is, of placing all things into categories of good or bad, less or more, better or worse, we begin to experience unity and Divine grace, we move into our hearts. When I hold onto judgments about myself I keep myself trapped within my ego. When I hold onto judgments about others I keep myself trapped within my ego. Labeling and comparing (things to things and people to people) produces judgments. I can find myself in my heart when I let go these habits of duality and see all things as varying expressions of the One, creating contrast, opportunity, and diversity.

Affirmation:

I release any judgments that I hold about myself or others.

I avoid labeling, contrasting and comparing.

I accept that all things just ARE!

Have a great Thursday everyone ~ Donna

Sometimes it is hard not to be legalistic. We are quick to call things one way or the other. We just have to learn to blow things off and not let them matter so much.

Gosh, you really have your thinking cap on.
As St. Paul said, "I have learned to be content in all things."
And modern day lingo says, "It is what it is."
Acceptance is great. Having a thankful Thursday today!
And thank you, Donna for a wonderful post.

Thanks Donna! I will try to remember my boss is just who he is today and not to take his words personally. I will try to accept the fact that he doesn't know how to be a leader!
