I am easing back into my workouts pretty slowly, but I am getting there. Today I started back with my ST at the gym. I didn't do the full routine today, but I did a little upper and lower body work on the machines along with my cardio. I haven't added the core work back in yet, as that seems to be where most of the lingering soreness from my injury is located, but I think after a few more days of gentle stretching I will be ready to tackle the core machines and ball exercises again. I am going for a massage on Friday afternoon which should also help.
I also restarted doing my jogging intervals. My regular walking partner said she would like to do the training with me, so now I have two running buddies. They are available on different days, so I should be able to do intervals at least 3 times a week. I know myself well enough to realize I probably won't do them unless I have company, so this is really good having two people willing to run with me. I did realize today though that I need to buy (yet another) pair of sneakers. Since I am walking over 5 miles a day on a regular basis I wear them out pretty fast, and the pair I have now are very broken in/worn out.
I can see the bottom of the pot of bean soup finally! I have really enjoyed it, but I think I will wait a month or two before making another huge pot of anything! Cooking for one is not very cost effective, so I have been eating a lot of fresh fruit, just because it is fast and simple... but that is okay I tend to eat a lot of fruit in the summer anyways, because it is just so yummy! (I am getting fresh cherries and strawberries tomorrow.)
