Itís been awhile since Iíve written a blog. In fact Iíve been so busy Iíve barely had time to keep tracking my nutrition, water and fitness. But I have. I am currently at the new goal weight (160lbs) the Doctor wants me at. Iíve been there for some time but I havenít put it on my page until today. That means I have lost a total of 185lbs. That is still amazing to me but I shouldnít be surprisedÖ ďWith God all things are possibleĒ.

I had a chance to speak at a Tohono Oíodham health workshop this past week. It was great to share my faith, my journey in my temple restoration and SparkPeople. The session went well and there were a lot of questions concerning the process. All in all it was a good experience.

Well a week after I did my Grand Canyon hike I started working our summer camps. All is going well and we are preparing to start our last camp this weekend. Itís been a very busy time for us but we are almost finished with the camping season. (This camp is for the 1st Ė 3rd graders.)

A Prayer request: Keep my wife in prayer as they found that she has early stage 1 breast cancer. They will be doing the surgery July 30th.

Maintaining my goal weight one day at a time,

Prayers submitted and accepted at the Throne. And an extra request for the surgeons hands and your wife's spiritual and physical strength. Also, a request for tour sake. In ALL things, God is good.

Many positive thoughts to you and your wife! emoticon

Also, emoticon on the weight loss and achieving your goal of hiking the Grand Canyon! I am hoping to do a rim to rim hike next year.

When you have some time, I'd be interested in hearing about the Tohono Oíodham health workshop you spoke at. Sounds interesting!

Steve - I am sorry to hear of the diagnosis, but at least it is stage 1. I have an idea of what you are going through. My husband just had his second clear PET scan, he completed chemo for lymphoma last October. It is not an easy thing to go through - for either of you. The strides she has made in her health will help her get through this.

I am sending hugs and prayers to both of you!

I'm keeping your wife and you and your family in my prayers!
Keep up the great work with your health and fitness. Thanks so much for the kind words on my pic. It certainly has been baby steps, but that's OK, it truly is a way of life now!

Oh my! First order of business . . . definitely have your wife in my prayers. Believe me, breast cancer is a passion of mine (Mom has breast cancer and has been a survivor for one year now). Positive attitude! And prayers for the Drs. and others caring for her, too that He guides them to the best treatment plan for your wife. So sorry to hear of this challenge. But it is not insurmountable.

Congrats on your achievement of reaching 185 lbs. lost! That's fantastic. Wishing you continued success and continued health. Glad you posted.

God bless both you and your wife.

Steve, best wishes to your wife and her speedy recovery - how fortunate to have caught it so early. Besides you, your loved ones, and your faith I hope she can find additional support from the SP teams focused on BC survivors. They have insights for her we cannot begin to grasp. Your strength of character has been growing and maturing through the challenges you have already faced to prepare you for this moment. it will be awful, but you WILL get through it.

I would have loved to hear your presentation - you are a role model to so many of us.
