Ah the pure bliss of sleeeeeep!!

Tuesday, July 17, 2012

Sleep is never overrated. Never. I ended last week super exhausted with my little man waking so early. Come to find out he's been cutting teeth so I started him on some homeopathic teething tablets and his sleep has been BLISS! It was nice to get to sleep in a bit this morning. I am hoping with fingers crossed that he'll keep this little trend up so I can start getting my workout in first thing in the morning. It is my preference to get up early and get it done that way I have NO distractions. It is nice to get the workout done, check emails, figure out my to do list (I have a stellar new app BTW!! For anyone interested, check out Pocket Informant I paid $4.99 for it but it is both a calendar and to do list in one and syncs with Google calendar -- BONUS!!)

I had such a rough week last week and hubs did something so unexpected -- I was super surprised!

It is so wonderful to me that after 18 years of being together he still loves me the way he does. I see so many couples fall apart and I love the fact that he and I can still have what we do that is, quite honestly, so much better than when we first started!

Sleep has been much, much better! Little man sleeping until 6-7am is so nice. The tablets do wonders for him both in demeanor and physically. Teething sucks. Plain and simple.

Hand and feet while sleeping

Things this week have been good so far. Workouts are great my muscles are super sore today. It may be crazy of me, but I love that feeling. As much as I am NOT enjoying the Push Circuit for CLX, I am loving the changes. I can see such great muscle definition especially in my arms and shoulders. I will be very happy to move on to the Lean Phase, though. I love the core work in that phase. Once I complete CLX I am trying to decide what I will do. The kids should be close to being back in school by that point so I will have a bit more time on my hands to get some workouts in. I am considering breaking out my Jari Love DVD's and doing a Jari Love/Yoga mix for a month.

I went grocery shopping today and was able to stock back up on a few things. Food has been good and I, without any reluctance whatsoever, turned down pizza this afternoon for lunch and opted for a peanut butter and fresh strawberry sandwich and an unsweetened chocolate almond milk/banana/peanut butter smoothie. I felt much better afterward eating that than I would have chowing on the pizza. I know I can have pizza anytime I want, it just doesn't appeal to me greatly anymore. We ate some last night and one piece anymore and I am done. I get my fill and move on from there. My cravings have changed so much. I just don't fixate on foods like that anymore.

Sounds like little man is up from his nap! Happy Tuesday everyone!!

I saw first hand what you mommies go thru a couple of weeks ago. My daughter has a new baby and a 19 month old. Babies are definitely for the young. At my age, I'd have a physical breakdown. That being said, aren't they wonderful?
You sound like you are doing wonderfully, both as a mother, and in knowing you need the diet and exercise for yourself. emoticon
Oh, forgot something, you have a wonderful husband.

Glad you are getting your sleep in. That was sweet of hubby to cheer you up with flowers. Great job on avoiding the pizza! That would be a hard one for me.

So glad you are both sleeping better! Your workouts and eating plan sound great and are working, YAY! Good job on not eating the pizza. I used to eat strawberry sandwiches...kind of a dutch thing, but the dutch like to spread chocolate frosting on the bread with the berries. Never cared for the chocolate but I might have to try the peanut butter version.
Glad you are doing well and hope it remains that way! emoticon
