I have not fallen. I am still here.

This morning I weighed 212 pounds, which means I have gained back 14.
That is the hardest thing for me to write. It is so hard because I haven't felt like this in over a year and a half. The feeling of being lost. The feeling of not knowing what I'm doing. Am I doing the right things? The things that I am eating, can I eat them for the rest of my life? I do know one thing, I do not want to go back to the unhappy person I was before.

So yesterday I decided I would start completely over. I love the spark app, but I decided to download myfitnesspal, just for something different for a while. I want this so bad. I think slowly but surely my mind is going back to the right place. Yesterday was great, today is going even better.

I can do this. We can do this.

Today I got the courage to step on the scale and have gained back all the weight I lost and more. Now I am facing 80 pounds to lose and I was feeling very discouraged until I stumbled upon your blog. Thank you for sharing and for being so positive.

It's hard to stumble, especially for those of us who when they stumbled, sometimes it was impossible to get back up. But you have practiced hard, and now you can jump right back up on your feet! You are recognizing a bad trend but you can trend right back down. Yes you can!

Don't think of it as starting over again think of it as continuing on the journey of pursuing where you want to be! That always seems to help me get over my slumps when I feel like throwing in the towel! emoticon

Like you, lately I have been stumbling a little. I hit a goal weight of 160 in April of 2011--then got 20 pounds below that goal weight, but I still consider that 160 my GOAL weight. However, since hitting 139.8 on Oct 30, 2011, I have gained about 15 pounds weighing in at 153 this morning. I still consider myself at goal since I gave myself a 20-lb. leeway by losing the extra amount, but I am NOT happy. Because where does it stop?

I don't want to find myself having regained 40 or 50 pounds before I stop and reverse that trend. I too downloaded Fitness Pal on my new iPhone. It's handier than Spark when I'm out and about, and like you said it's something different. Now I just need to start using it!

I'm right there with you! I spent the past six months at the same weight, despite my efforts (kinda lame efforts, truth be told). But in the past 10 days I've lost 5 lbs. by recommitting and going a different route. I'll be cheering you on. emoticon

the only failure is not getting back up.
Create the Tomorrow you want by making the right choices Today. Put your dreams into action one step at a time, and do one more step each day. It is totally possible...and only you can make it happen.

I love myfitnesspal so much and it's been helpful for logging in my food and exercise. It makes me accountable to friends and family who also have the app.

My username is katertot75, if you want we can be buddies :-) I love having friends to cheer on in their success and who do the same. We got this!

I think you've come a VERY long way in your weightloss and you've had an amazing body transformation. Maybe you needed this break as a reminder of where you want to be. Sometimes it's OK to take a step back; it makes us that much stronger when we decide to finish the race.
