Last night I had to drag myself to yoga class. I had so many fabulous excuses not to go and up until I actually got my butt in the car, I wasn’t sure I was going to do it. Ultimately, I went because it was written as part of my blog-plan and because I already made some poor choices over the weekend. It was time to take charge again and get back in the driver’s seat… so off I went.
Oh my goodness. Before class started, a man walked in with a didgeridoo, a HUGE instrument made from what looked like an entire tree. He had a few other instruments too and played live music throughout class. At the end of class during shavasana (where you lay down and meditate for a few minutes) he did “music therapy” and “sound healing” where he actually touched you with the instruments while he played and the sound waves made your whole body vibrate. It was all a little new-agey for me but it was still a very cool new experience that I would have missed out on if I didn’t get my tush out the door.
