My Monday morning weigh-in found me down just a little under 1lb for the past week. I actually consider that a successful week!
It was a very busy and hectic week (most of them seem to be) I was asked by my granddaughter to please make the cake for her baby shower on Saturday. She practically begged me to make my homemade carrot cake with cream cheese frosting (I know, highly unsual), so obviously, I obliged. I did enjoy just a small 1 in square taste.
Since most family members were together at the shower (husbands, etc were either watching kids or just hanging out together someplace) she decided it would make sense for us to all go out for her birthday dinner afterwards at Olive Garden. Being as we really don't get to see nearly enough of our grandchildren these days, and we had made the hour long drive to get to town already, we obviously stayed for the dinner, too! I ate less than half of my meal and took the remainder home (I can remember when I would have easily eaten the entire portion)
I didn't get to go to the pool this past week as my husband was home sick with a really bad intestinal virus for 3 days and unfortunately, I can't get on the base without him. So I missed some of the exercise I had been doing for the past month. Things seem to be getting back to somewhat normal this week and we should be back to the pool for water aerobics at least 2 days, plus I need to make sure I get my early morning walks in, too!
