Still plugging away

Tuesday, July 17, 2012

I'm finding that it's a challenge to get to that next goal but I'm still on board and plan to reach it. I know 15 pounds is a ways off but it will come off with the right work and determination. I'm certified kettlebell instructor now so I teach about once or so a week which makes it a lot of fun. I have been really trying to come up with challenging workouts that are about results. I love my kettlebells, there is so much you can do you should never get bored. I am trying to get more strength in because I want my definition back and I know I can get there. It may take a bit but it's doable, this all is with the right amount of work. I have found veggies are the key to losing but I also don't have a love of all vegetables. It's a process that's for sure. There are just some days I don't want to eat all those veggies. I have a juicer but it was missing one piece so as soon as that arrives I'm going to give juicing a try. The more juices the better and hopefully I will see even more results. I have a goal and I want to get there. Now it's just a matter of making it happen.

Alp I would go ahead and get turbo fire, the hybrid is really fun and if you want you can do just turbo fire your first 20 weeks and there are modifications through out the entire series. Also this series has a beginners section where she breaks down the moves and modifications so you get the hang of the workout before actually doing it without the intro, a really nice feature.

Greentea I also do a protein shake with kale, spinach, fresh berries and protein powder with almond milk, coconut milk or grass fed milk, I like to mix it up. I find it very filling and refreshing after kettlebell class. I just need to find a way to get more servings of veggies without eating them all the time. LOL I also need to clean up my dinner meal which hubby makes to include more variety of veggies.

I asked you this in the team thread, but I am curious what your thoughts are of Turbo Fire? i am really considering it but I have not so good knees and some days will just need to modify -- are the modifications worht it, I mean intense enough? I am getting bored with CLX cardio and am thinking that a hybrid might be fun.

Kettlebells, I've never tried them. How fun to be an instructor! Hang in there, 15 pounds is definitely do able!!

I would guess that juicing might help. I've never really tried it, but for my lunch I blend kale, spinach, and a greens powder from the supplement store - and I agree 100 percent w/ you - veggies are key for me also to lose weight. Mostly b/c they help me stay on track with clean eating and fill me up. Can't wait to hear how the juicing goes!
