This was my first BLC and I really wish I would have joined in one earlier. Going into this challenge pregnant, I knew I wouldn't be the biggest "loser" but I was hoping to get back into habits that I had gotten away from and in that, this challenge has been a major success.
After losing 100+ pounds and managing a healthy first pregnancy, I had gotten out of the routine of tracking and really being mindful with my eating. I had gotten out of the habit of checking in on Spark and reaching out when I needed it. I had gotten out of the habits that had helped me to become person who lost 114 pounds and I needed something to get that back.
I have been determined through this pregnancy to be even healthier than I was with my first. I didn't honestly know if that was possible, but I'm living proof that pregnancy does not equal a chance to stop your fitness life. I've ran a 5k (and PRd), my first half marathon and a 10k. At 34 weeks, I'm still doing aerobics and spin class. I do the elliptical every morning after my quiet time to start my day.
Even though as the summer has gone on, I have not been as social with my Pixies as I was before, I thank God for them every day because they are the ones that help to encourage and motivate me to get back into these habits. I can't wait to be a part of BLC 20 and actually be one of those girlies whose name is in lights for being the Biggest Loser...I'll be there...you watch for it!
