Good morning,
On Saturday past I had so many in-the-house chores to do that I knew the likelihood of getting to the gym was slim to nil. So, being creative, I thought to myself, "Self, what are you going to do about this situation?" The fun (?) began, doing one chore at a time, moving from room to room and, whenever possible, floor to floor. Honestly, those stairs about did me in, but I had so much fun challenging myself to keep going. My little Westie follows me like a shadow, and she looked so confused. (chuckle) Stopping for a nice cold drink of water was the only beverage my body wanted.
I recently read that, if we give up soft drinks, we'll lose about 13 pounds in a year. Every so often I'll have a Diet-Coke, but that will be easy to forgo. Water is really my drink of choice, so that's good. I even prefer a cup of hot water to a cup of coffee or tea.
Today I was back out on the street, taking Cali on our 1-mile walk before it got too unbearably hot to be outside. Temps climbed to 100-degrees again yesterday; I was thankful when some clouds broke the intense sunshine later in the day.
