Just returned from a 2 week trip with DH, 2 grand daughters (17 and 10) and my niece (17). Traveled from Tupelo, MS, to: Oklahoma City (National Monument visit included); Albuequerque, NM; to spend a few days in a cabin between Flagstaff and Williams, AZ. Serious drought conditions. So sad to see so many trees dying. Hope they get some relief soon. Day trip to Grand Canyon and Painted Desert. Then down to New River, AZ, to my brother in law's house for several days. Playing in the pool, boating on the lake, visiting with rest of family. Drove down to Tombstone, AZ, and had a great lunch at Big Nose Kate's Saloon. Spent the night in Las Cruces, NM. Next day, drove to Dallas, TX, where my daughter and son in law live. (Long day on the road. Lots of border patrol. You guys are great, and have a really tough job. Keep up the good work, and stay safe.) Friday, took the kids to Dallas World Aquarium for several hours. Great place. Home on Saturday. Our friend asked me what I thought was the very best part of the trip. My answer: Listening to the 3 girls in the back seat of the F150 going on and on about how beautiful and spectacular the scenery and everything they saw was and what a great time they were having. That was the best part of a truly great trip. For the next trip out to AZ, DH and I plan to go up through Colorado and Wyoming and then down to AZ. Already looking forward to it. Hope to be at least 30 pounds lighter by then!
