Looking back and moving Forward

I feel like I've been working my TAIL off and while I'm happy with the 9
lbs I've lost so far, but was feeling like I should be further along than I am...but then was just now scrolling through my older blog entries on SP
and found one from Aug 7th of last year ( http://www.sparkpeople.com/myp
ual.asp?blog_id=4412078) and realized where I REALLY came
from on this weight-loss journey...I started at that time at 185 lbs! So altogether since that time I've lost 16 lbs! I've lost and gained back and
forth between the 185 and now, but I am headed in the right direction and I really never quit...just re-prioritized, regrouped, and found NEW ways to
keep moving forward.... I CAN do this and YOU all can do it, too ♥

    You are soooooooooooo right...this is for life...HAS to be.
    We should be measuring in not just lbs and inches lost, but in energy level, improved health, better sleep....and everything thing emoticon that comes along with these changes.
    There's a car commercial right now that has a slogan that should be used HERE on SP......" The journey IS the destination"...it's the daily efforts that make this work.

    So glad you're still here on SP, my dear friend! (I think you and I are the only 2 left! lol!)

    Well hey there, Missey! Congrats on dropping a dress size, that's wonderful! I've been on the right road for a couple of months now, too, and have had the most success I've ever had with keeping with something and losing weight so far. There is a chance for us to succeed every single day -- I find it helps to look at the day to day successes instead of how far I have to go. If I have a bad day, then I just get right back on the train. I wound up using My Fitness Pal to log my calories since I personally found the interface to be much simpler (especially on my phone) but wanted to stick around here, too.
    Finally figuring out what "lifestyle change" actually MEANS :) -- something you do for life, not just a little while to get to a goal.
