It has been awhile since I have writen anything here, so tonight is the night.

My running has tappered off some, since I am training for a week long bike ride across Iowa (Ragbrai) in one more week. Once I get back from that I am startinng to train for a half marathon in Sept. This will be my first attempt at that kind of distance, but am looking forward to it. It gives me one solid month of training for it. I have a duathlon the week after my half, and should be in really good shape for that.

Well I am off to ride the trainer and log some much needed miles for the day. I hope all my friends out there are having a great weekend.

If any of you are planning to ride Ragbrai, shoot me and email and we can ride together or at least meet up.

    Wow - you have some great things coming up. It sounds like you will be having a fun and fit time. I had to look up duathlon I had never heard of it but now that I know what it is it sound like fun also.

    Jenny, it is right around 500 miles for the week. Average about 70 a day. It is alot of fun, I have done it 5 times so this is number 6. Most all roads are closed off to this, due to the number of riders. Right around 15,000 to 20,000 at any given day...

    How many miles will you be riding? Sounds like fun, just be careful out on the roads, some drivers are crazy.
