I have signed up for the SAC to help me feel accountable. My family is very supportive; they support me whether I stay on track or not. So having to report in print regularly will make me think twice about getting out of control which is what happened to me at Christmas break.
I also have a FitBit which is my mini-trainer. I have set goals for steps and stairs and by looking at my numbers, I can see where I am and what I need to do to achieve my goals. I was trying to increase weekly in these goals, but found that I finally hit a wall and was just exhausted, so now am just setting my minimum at 10,000 steps per day and 10 flights of stairs. If I do more, great, but I am determined to meet the minimum.
What I have to figure out is what my goal weight should be. I was comfortable at 140-145, but kept losing, so changed to 135-140. This was good for more than a year until I got my FitBit and since then (this Feb.), I have been losing small amounts each week. I am sure it is because of my increase in activity and will probably level off and perhaps go the other way. So during the break, I will try to continue my current activity plan, eat a healthy diet, and see what the scale does. Then I hope to maintain where I settle.
I am looking forward to BLC 20; it will come sooner than I am thinking right now. In the meantime, I must keep my goals in mind, even as I enjoy having family visiting and the numerous good times summer provides.
