Early hours of Sunday morning ...

Saturday, July 14, 2012

I went to bed at a reasonable time, then woke up around midnight and am having trouble getting back to sleep. Bit of an upset tummy, but not too bad.

We went off to Albury (5 of us from our Church) to a memorial service for the Mum of one of our friends from church. It was a lovely service and our friend really appreciated us being there. There was lunch afterwards - sandwiches and little cakes, tea coffee and fruit punch. I ate some sandwiches and one small cake - but I don't eat much bread usually, and I think that is what has upset the system!

I have to get on track - I am not tracking! I don't know why - I am just not! I start the day out well with a healthy breakfast and I know how many calories in that - then I just don't add in what I have the rest of the day - more so when I am not eating at home.

I just read an article about a girl who had lost a lot of weight and she noted something about being in the right frame of mind, or words to that effect - and that is where I am lacking I am sure.

I am not beating myself up - just stating the facts as I see it.

So ... later today, my challenge is to TRACK, TRACK, TRACK!

Thanks for listening to my middle of the night raving .. hope to get some sleep soon!

I hear you on the tracking. I love Spark's tracker but it is SO darn time consuming. I've gotten to the point where I just track on paper and then one day I'll sit and enter favorites into the tracker. A friend of mine told me that there is a great smart phone app called LOSE IT. She says it is so much faster...I haven't checked it out...but it's on my 'to do' list.

Tracking DOES make all the difference, I try to calculate calories BEFORE I pop something in my mouth...keeps me on the straight and narrow.

We'll do it...together...yes we shall! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Sounds like you are trying to get your sleep schedule a bit of of whack! I track my food every day, don't dare wait til the next day, because then I don't remember what I ate. It really helps me.

I usually have a pad of paper on the counter where I prepare my meals...I jot down everything....than even if I don't get it "tracked" that day I still have a list of what I ate.
Hope you had a good and peaceful sleep....and have a great day.... emoticon

tracking really helps....I suffer from food amnesia....
don't ask me to give you the details of what I had 2 meals ago.
Enjoy your weekend. Keep pushing.

Sandy? Are you awake yet? Don't want to disturb those last few sweet dreams!

Hey little emoticon ...how about we both start tracking everything & getting in some kind of exercise each day for this week. emoticon I'm right here with you & we can take this challenge one day at a time.

"One day at a time, sweet Jesus.
That's all I'm asking from You.
Just give me the strength to do everyday what I have to do.
Yesterday's gone, sweet Jesus.
And tomorrow may never be mine.
So for today, please show me the way,
One Day At A Time." (kris kristoffersen)
