Was gonna vlog but...

...I'm tired with smeared makeup and my hair is nasty... :)

I'm just blogging because I have a stupid goal in my goal list about blogging 4 times a week. What would I ever agree to that for?

Today has been long and I'm stupidly still up. Got up and did an AM Stretch Yoga video for the first time in a looooong time. Felt pretty good after, but I can already tell I am going to be sore tomorrow.

Then got dragged out for an hour walk with my walking buddy. We try to do roughly a 5k 3 times a week. We've both slacked off for various reasons, although this week I actually got them in at other times while my son was in T-Ball!

Ended up snacking tonight. It was on some trail mix I had left. No idea how much I ate, but I guess there are worse things to have done.

Today's eating was really weird. I actually FORGOT to eat lunch. That was strange, so the rest of the afternoon was snacking here and there on trail mix, nut bar and kale chips. Then dinner. It was actually super conservative. But then the snacking came back out on nuts (cashews to be exact) and a Fruit & Nut trail mix. Super tasty. Didn't finish the bag, so there's that...

It's really fortunate, actually, that my husband is currently training for a couple of those crazy race things (Rugged Maniac and Tough Mudder). He's putting me to shame with the workouts. So I'm getting there. And I'm even starting to track down simple healthy recipes! Oh, and I tossed out a huge bucket of ice cream we had left over from a party. We'd both been dosing ourselves out of it later in the evening. Together we decided to just be rid of it.

Now, to try to eliminate ALL PM snacking. Not sure if it's possible, or if we should just come up with an OK evening snack. I think my DH had a banana smoothie. Better than a lot of things, that's for sure.

Here's hoping the blogging will somehow help the bigger goal of losing 42 lbs by the end of the year!

PS - Went shopping today and ended up getting a couple of tops. They were on sale, so that made me happy, but boy was it a miserable trip. The damned things were 2X. Someday. Someday I swear, I will be able to wear a size "S" something...

    Finding an acceptable snack seems like a good idea . I am usually low on Protein at the end of the day so I keep some carbless bars in the pantry. They have low carbs but high protein and taste good...
