Well today I was expecting a visit from a friend from church. It was cooler today, so I didn't feel so lethargic. I managed to get my vacuuming done and I washed all my floors before she arrived. She had offered to help with anything I needed done to get my apartment in order. However, most of the work has been done and I can't finish up until I get one of my book cases back from my son's friend. I called him the other day, but he still hasn't returned my call. I'll try him again tomorrow.

I showed my friend around my apartment and my outdoor pool. She thought it was great. We chatted for a while and she helped me carry my recycling down to the recycling bin. I had purchased some diabetic socks from the pharmacy and I found out when I opened them that they were stained. She drove me back to the pharmacy to return them. While we were there I noticed that there was a bar next door, and I jokingly said we could go and have a nice cold beer. She told me that that bar had a restaurant with great food. We decided to stop there for lunch. It was delicious. I had a Greek salad and chicken fingers. She treated me to lunch. It was nice to sit and talk with her, as she lost her DH about a year or two before I lost mine, and she understands what I am going through. She also brought me a lovely salad and casserole for supper. The casserole was way too much for one person, so I heated up about 1/3 of it for supper. I can have the salad for lunch tomorrow, and I can finish off the casserole for supper.

I had to go to the office this morning to report that I had lost my keys. It cost me $35 to replace my apartment key, my mailbox key and the chip card used to get in the building. I am going to make another copy of the mailbox and door key and keep them separate so that if I lose them or misplace them I will at least have a spare set. I still have a couple of places to call to see if my other keys turn up. If they do, I will keep them as a spare set as I have already paid to replace them.

Tomorrow I am expecting a visit from my SIL. She bought me a bigger fan the other day. I will pay her for it tomorrow. Hopefully it will circulate the air better in my apartment. The maintenance man came by again today, and he said that there is nothing that can be done. The air-conditioning is having a hard time working properly because of the high humidity. I will be so glad if it cools off for a while. I'm not expecting it any time soon, however. Temperatures are in the high 80's and 90's for the next week or so, and maybe higher with the humidex.
My son and his girlfriend are coming over on Saturday and we are going to go to the pool. Hopefully it won't be too hot. Next Saturday I am going to spend the day at the Spa with two of my friends from church. I am going to arrive at 9:00 A.M., and I am going to spend the whole day there. I am getting an aromtherapy massage. I am so looking forward to it. My back and shoulders are still so sore from all the moving and lifting heavy boxes, etc.
