Day 31

Thursday, July 12, 2012

I know what I have to do. I need to lose weight, exercise, and get off of as much medication as I can. And that is what I am doing. I haven't joined the YMCA yet ... need to wait for pay day. I am trying to get 10 minutes of exercise a day. Drinking my water, and eating low carb. I really wish I could cut carbs out all together. I guess that is what I was trying to do ... yesterday and the day before I had bothersome low blood sugars. So I realize now I need to have low carb. But how low Carb is enough Carb? Is it trial and error? I've cut my Novolog in half, but the Lantus I am keeping the same. And yes, my Endocrinologist has told me to cut my Novolog as I am doing this. Sigh...Life is good. emoticon

Thank you for your input. I am testing fasting, pre lunch, pre dinner, and then at bed time. Once I get that down I'm going to 2 hrs pp after meals and alternate when I take them. emoticon

I had to test my sugars 2 hours after every meal and figure out what my optimum carb intake for each meal. In my case, I can have (and need) more carbs at breakfast but need to keep it to only 15 g. carbs at lunch and afternoon snack. I can have a bit more carbs at dinner but not as much as breakfast.
