Did I just discover my ticket to the world?

I came across something called Willing Workers On Organic Farms (WWOOF for short). It's this amazing thing where you get free room/board on an organic farm, 3 meals a day, all in return for 4-5 hours of work on the farm (or whatever you work out with the farmer owners). These farms are ALL OVER THE WORLD.
You have to pay a small fee to join, but so do the owners of the farm. That's just to keep the system going for the future. I think it's about $10 or something. Then you get to search through farms and you choose which farm you want to work on. You contact the owners of the farm directly and figure out the details of your stay.
I'm currently thinking about doing this next summer for a few weeks in New Zealand or Australia. I'm heavily leaning towards New Zealand though. I would easily be able to fly out, work for 7-10 days on the farm, and then reserve the last 2-3 days for some sightseeing. I'd be in another county (heck, on a new continent!) for 2 weeks, but really only paying for 2-3 days. And I think I would get a better idea of the country and how people live there by actually LIVING with them, you know?
I'm just so excited for this. It's a year away and I'm already looking up plane tickets!
