I am a greedy person - and it helps when you want to lose weight. No, honestly! Someone who likes food as much as I do has a big big advantage. I like eating practically EVERYTHING. Not for me the miserable 'don't like this, don't like that' existence of many people.
I like rice green beans pasta pasta pasta carrots chicken guinea fowl smoked mackerel lettuce peas apricots - I LOVE apricots - and figs and cherries especially when they burst as you bite them and bananas and icecream and sorbet's even better and goaty goat cheese cottage cheese mozzarella brie steak slow roast duck tomatoes baked with herbs butter beans tuna with honey and spice pastry PIE meringue lemon flavoured anything.
So you get the picture. I'm not frightened of a vegetable (I did find a rather scary carrot in the fridge, it was sort of bifurcated and looked almost human, let's ignore that one carrot), nor of a fruit, and certainly not of a calorie. So when a recipe says 'two onions' or 'serve with watercress' that's fine by me. Of course I love things that are full of empty calories. But glory be: I also love things that aren't!
Here are some oranges. Couldn't you just dive in?
