Day #25 - Ugggg - Plateau??? Help me out

Thursday, July 12, 2012

emoticon Did not lose...did not gain - winning situation right?!!!

Well I'm not sweating it too much even though I would have loved to see the scale move downward. I've been working out everyday and eating good .... well good food probably not enough. Before when I was drinking my smoothies and eating my fruit and veggies during the workday I wasn't exercising. I was losing weight 1-3#s weekly. Since I started exercising consistently two weeks ago I haven' loss any weight. Hmmm... I'm guessing my body might be in starvation mode? I'm not consuming enough calories and I'm burning alot of calories. I'm going to try and start back eating my 4 mini meals throughout the day for this upcoming weigh in (next Thursday) and see if that is the cause. I'm also going to log in my food just to get a overview.

I'm not discouraged, because I know even if the weight on the scale haven't changed --- I have. Maybe I've loss inches --- I don't know I didn't measure myself. But I feel better, I'm dedicated to the gym and I'm enjoying exercising everyday. Even though my body aches afterwards ... it has gotten a lot easier and my time on each machine has improved. All positive NSVs!!! But anyhoo... I shall press forward.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Oh I almost forgot yesterdays workout emoticon 35 minutes emoticon 13 minutes but at a higher crossramp and retention!!! Yep I'm getting better.

I'm upset that I left my tennis shoes home today and it's suppose to storm today. Now I have to go by home first and hopefully get there before its crowded. But I'm going.

in the past when i hit plateaus, i tried changing my routine- taking a day off from exercise or just doing light yoga. sometimes just getting extra sleep is also helpful.

I would ask HOW OFTEN are you eating? You should have something in your mouth every 3-4 hours. Also, this may sound crazy, but a couple of times a week, try having lean protein and vegetables for breakfast like a tilapia filet with broccoli and garlic or a grilled chicken breast with carrots. It will shock your metabolism. I would also take a probiotic for no longer than 4 weeks. Good luck girl!

Ahhh the Plateau , I remember the first time I plateau-D I was like whats happening to me. Talked to my Hubby, and was able to gain some solid knowledge. Plateau tend to happen when the body has gotten use to a routine, or the reps in the routine. I didnt change my routine, I increased my reps from 25 to 50. The stronger we get the more we can do. Try to increase your time or reps, that may help. How many calories are you eating. As long as you arent eating any lower then a 1000 you should be fine. So emoticon Chica you got this, Big smiles emoticon
