At the end of June I graduated to my next karate belt level! So psyched I am! I am now learning new punches, kicks, moves etc. Last night I did a 45 minute class, all was well until about 10 minutes until class was over. We had to do this move called a front break fall. OWWW! I did it and my hip seriously popped. I'm thinking just great. The first thing I think is that I'm actually falling with 200+ lbs onto my forearms and my toes so how can my hip be hurting. Well, we have to do this sprawl thing than extends my hip. Ok, not happening right now. Not until I lose more weight. Ok, fine but problem.... this is a required move to graduate in 3 months to my next belt. Last night I ended up doing front rolls instead. Yep, I can actually roll 200+ lbs over my head and end up in an upright position. The first time I tried it was pretty funny. LOL! My 8 year old son is trying to teach me to do this without hurting myself. Let me just say that today.... I HURT. Everywhere! Hips, arms, back, abs... Ugh!!

    I'm sorry your injured yourself, but look at you pushing yourself to the limits and not backing down. Goooooooooooooooooooo YOU.

Plus, aside from the hip, I think the rest is a good hurt, no? emoticon

    emoticon this is the closest that I can get to a bath tub. Maybe soaking in epsoms salt would help
