So what's been going on in my world lately, you ask? Grab a chair and let's talk. Wish we could walk and talk but the computer is a bit bulky to carry.
I'm changing jobs on 7/23. It's a 10% promotion and I'm excited about it. Then I get a call from the office in my home town (I commute an hour each way). So now I have an interview there two working days before I start my new job. I've wanted to work there for the 10 years I've been with this department, but the openings are few and far between. It's complicated but if it works out, I could end up making the same as I do now (not the 10% increase) but be in my home town. I would have a maybe 5 minute commute and be close to my boy if anything happens. I could even ride my bike if I had the inclination! I'm scared to even think too hard on it in case I jinx it somehow. Que sera sera, right?!?!
My derby wife (best friend in derby) is back in town! I'm so excited to see her before practice today. I've missed her something fierce while she was on vacation visiting her family.
My boy is doing fabulous in swim lessons and I'm loving the new place he's going. Seems much more calm and serious about swimming than the one he was in last year. But he's older too so that might be part of it.
Tuesday I was able to get a bunch of things taken care of that where weighing on my mind. Little One went to the dentist for filings; we picked up his new glasses; visited my Mom that was WAY overdue; paid a speeding ticket; and still managed to have a couple dollars in the bank when I was finished.
Saturday I helped with a derby car wash which was the most successful they had ever had. All the fun people were there and none of the not so fun ones so I had a really good time.
This weekend I have NOTHING PLANNED! I can't believe it!! But LO's room needs some attention badly so we might take one day to attack it.
I've been doing a squat challenge and I'm liking it. Trying to strengthen my legs so I can skate lower easier. Might start back up the push up challenge on alternate days soon.
The new coach shows major promise and I'm hoping things keep going in the direction they seem to be. The sun is shining in derby land again!!
Loves ya! Have a wonderful day!
