Hi all!! It's been awhile since I last checked in!! How was everybody's 4th?? We spent Wednesday through Sunday camping. . . like, tenting it. Yes, five days in a tent. My husband had to work Thursday and Friday but C and I stuck around the camp with the family until he got back on Friday afternoon.
Surprisingly, the weather wasn't too bad despite the heat. We didn't get much in the way of storms, which we all REALLY appreciate. (Some of you may recall the first weekend of August 2010. . .
terrifying for us!!!) My parents did buy a new RV this year so for the small storm we did get while my husband wasn't there, C and I holed up in the camper!
And truth time, I ate like you wouldn't believe. It was pitiful. Cookies, chips, donuts, cinnamon rolls, etc. It was brutal. I did get some good stuff in too but all that bad stuff took it's toll. . . And I didn't even work out! And I still haven't!!!
Sigh. . .it's so, so, so hard to get back into a habit once it's broken. I will though. Starting today! Lunchtime workout it is. Even though I really want to go to HomeGoods and get new sheets, I won't. I will work out. If I need new sheets I can go after work.
Anywho, today marks 22 week!!! Can you believe that?? Only 17 more to go before she comes!! (Yes, I'll deliver a week early.) And we have done NOTHING to prepare for her!! I have a stroller, four outfits and a swaddler. That's all folks!! Her bedroom is still what we call "Paul's closet" because it's covered in his clothes. I don't have ANYTHING done on my list of things to do before baby arrives. It's starting to freak me out. I think tonight I need Paul to move the dresser out of my closet so I can make room for his clothes in the closet so we can start clearing out her bedroom. I think when I get that moving, I'll feel a lot better about everything!!
Weight gain: Oh. . . a disappointing 18.4lbs!! That's about a 5lb gain in two weeks!! Lets hope that reining in my eating and upping my workouts again will help slow that down real quick!! Last night was also fast food for dinner so it was super high in sodium. Maybe it will go down a bit after I flush some of that junk out. . .
Food: See above. Pitiful!!
Symptoms: The newest symptom is heartburn! It's terrible! It was REALLY bad while we were camping and I couldn't really pinpoint a cause. In hindsight it was the ridiculous amount of junk probably!! Maybe if I stick to my old regulars it will go away??
Cravings: Nothing really but I've noticed that my binge eating in the evening habit has come back in full force!! Not cool. I need to start coming up with dinner plans and sticking to them.
Workouts: See above. None. Come the 23 week update you will hear me signing an entirely different tune though. I promise!!
