So, it's been an odd six months inside my head. I discovered that it is physically impossible for me to ever be less than a size 10 without surgery (I have "those" hips), and that got me mad. I discovered Ragen Chastain, HAES/SA, and discovered that if all my numbers are healthy, and I feel great, it really doesn't matter what the scale says.
That said, some of my numbers are NOT as healthy as they could be, and I could feel better. So, I'm still concentrating on eating things that make me feel better long-term (as opposed to things that give me a temporary emotional up followed by a crash), doing things that help my feel better physically, and getting my house in order.
That last one? I mean that literally. Our storage place jacked its rates again, so two weeks after the great victory of cleaning the garage (finally), we filled it up wall-to-wall with all the boxes and bins from the storage unit. I'm a hoarder, and my husband has finally admitted that he is, as well - so we're making progress. But we currently don't have much space to live, let alone work out - thankfully, the kitchen is working (finally), so at least we can eat well!
Anyway, I'm going to try to check in once a week, just to keep myself honest about my progress.
