It's not official, but...

Yesterday was a very good day! It started off with me stepping on the scale (NOT for my official weigh-in!) but as of yesterday morning I weighed 159.5! A whole two pounds lost?! It's either water weight going away, or I was dehydrated from my run the previous night! Still, it was nice to see that I was back in the 150's!!

My mom came to Zumba again (for the first time in WEEKS!) last night, and then we went out for Mexican with my dad afterward. I confess: I ate the whole plate of food. But I would still have been within my nutritional goals if I hadn't had the margarita...

We ordered a pitcher of margaritas, though, and I only poured myself one 8-oz glass! No second drink for me last night! So it could have been much worse!

Started the day right, with some all-natural pomegranate granola cereal and Greek yogurt. I'm working from home today, but I have a salad ready to go, and I'm looking forward to my after-work run already!


I stopped wafflling and finally signed up for the Wabash Riverfest 5K this Saturday. Even if I have to walk part of it, I'll be burning the calories first thing in the morning, and then I'm paddling in one of the canoe races in the afternoon. So a great, active Saturday already in the works!!

I'm not going to let myself backslide into unhealthy habits again this time. I'll post a blog and/or update my status EVERY DAY to hold myself accountable and stay on track...and this first week, I'm already starting to develop a better routine than I had back in January/February!

    Great on the weight loss regarles of the reason.
    Bad habits are so easy to fall back into, just be sure to stop yourself as you start to fall rather than when you hit bottom.

    Congrats on the scale reading! Consider the Mexican a reward and one needs that once in a while and besides, it sounds like your pounding off those calories pretty steadily. With that Saturday it sounds like you'll be sleeping late on Sunday.

    Wow! You are doing GREAT! Congrats on getting back into the 150's! Your active Saturday sounds like a lot of fun! I wish I could learn to like greek yogurt. I know it is such a healthier alternative compared to the other sugary more high calorie varieties, but I just can't get past the texture. Any suggestions on how I could slowly start incorporating it into my diet? Good for you on just ordering one drink at the Mexican place...that must have taken will power! Someone recently told me that it's the small daily changes you make that will make the big difference in the end. Keep up the good work, you got this girl!!
