So yeah, I was joking with a co-worker that this has been the third Monday this week for me. I have truly been paying for the two days I took off last week! It seems like everyone at work is having computer access issues (suspending their passwords, user error accessing systems, email troubles...you name it!), and of course, that's for me to deal with. I'm still wrangling with final renovation issues. Trying to get reference checks for the person I want to hire, trying to work out printing issues with our new file maintenance system, trying, trying, trying to do everything...and getting nowhere fast. I haven't had a chance to have a complete thought this week without getting interrupted/diverted to a new problem. Grrrr...can this week be over?? Please?
On to why I hate the spark fitness tracker. I really don't hate it completely, just using the mileage tracking portion. My running has all been on the TM lately, and I use the walk/run method. It's pretty impossible for me to keep track of how much I ran at 'x' speed, and how much I walked at 'y' speed. I keep the walk segments at the same speed, but vary the run speeds. Today my run speed started at 5.0, and by the time I was done i was running at 6.0. I walk at 3.9, which is about the fastest I can walk without jogging. So it's easier to enter it in the mileage tracker. Today's run/walk segment was 25 minutes, covering 2.07 miles. That seems like it would average to pretty much a 12 minute mile, but NOOOOO, spark says I 'walked' a 13 min mile. I double dog dare anyone to WALK a 13 minute mile. I CAN'T DO IT...I HAVE TO 'RUN'!!!
Ok, rant over. But I am going to kill myself going faster and faster just trying to make the damn tracker say 'run.' Just sayin'...
