Well, just my shirt, with brown shorts and royal blue Saucony trail shoes.
So it has been a while since I blogged. I ran my half in May in really hot conditions, with a two mile uphill near the finish. Came within 1 min 30 sec of my personal best.
Ran a 10 miler in Baltimore and PRed it in early June.
Trained for and rode a biking century (100 miler) with 5000 feet of vertical climb with SPer BOBBYD31 in late June.
Began the first week of official training for the Marine Corps Marathon this past Sunday.
So those are all on the plus side.
I have let myself down on the food side.
I dropped over 15 lbs in the first three months of the year to reach maintenance again. I was in a groove, like my early Spark days.
I hosted some fellow Sparkers around Just a Short Run, at the end of March. I set aside my laser like focus on nutrition tracking for the visit and never picked it up again. As time passed I paid less and less attention, until I paid virtually no attention. I squandered all my hard work earlier this year and am now up 12 lbs from my low, going into marathon training.
Time to pick myself up, dust myself off and get back to the hard work of marathon training and prudent, controlled eating.
