O Holy Father, our God, the most important departure in our life that we can ever make is to exit from sin and death through our baptism into Christ Jesus. Our most important entrance in this life to make is that of rising from the waters of baptism to walk in newness of life in Christ. That transition from death to life is possible because the God of Exodus, the God of Jordan, made it possible and is with us in that crossing. Consecrate us O Lord, to live for Jesus who has and will do amazing things for us. Deliver us from all evil and danger, and bring us into Your kingdom, the church, to Your glory and praise. Grant us safe passage from this life to the next. We give You all praise and our deepest thanks in the strong name of Jesus, Your Son, through whom we pray. Amen!
