Produce, Produce and More Produce

Went to the farmers market today and got a lovely selection. Trying to incorporate principles of Eat to Live. Here are my first two masterpieces :)


(Had some low fat dressing and some nuts sprinkled on the salad, black beans on the side)


Add in a couple of glasses of water & I am quite full. Also found the two hour time it takes to eat all that helpful. We shall see how I feel after a week of this diet!

    Green grapes are great frozen. If you have too many--just freeze them! Chris

    Thanks for the kind comments, everyone. For anyone that has tried eliminating dairy, I'd be curious to hear what worked in your coffee. I found the almond milk to be gross in it. The fruit salad is working as a meal for breakfast. I also tried some coconut water with fruit puree as a beverage this afternoon (ewww it turned my stomach). Would love to hear any/all suggestions.

    I keep thinking of buying green grapes. I LOVE green grapes, but I don't want to buy a whole bag of them because I don't want them to go bad before I'm through! I love them, but I don't eat them fast enough.

But, man, the fruit looks delicious! emoticon

    I think my system is in shock (in a good way). Ashamed to say, I hadn't bought fresh vegetables or fruit in a couple of months and only had them if they came from take out or in fresh fruit smoothie form. No wonder my body was feeling like it was in breakdown mode. Making a serious commitment to buying fresh at least 2 x per week from now on.

    I enjoy a colorful meal so much more than a drab one. Thankfully, veggies and fruits fill that need so well!

    How wonderful to have fresh fruits and vegetables they are so filling with minimal calories. I have been wanting to go berry picking i just haven't gotten the motivation to go.
