This last week I've been sore. Funny, how on the week where I am comparatively less active than average, I feel it more.
I think it has something to do with ladytimes (stupid ladytimes *sigh*), but even then, there are points where all I want to do is lay down and not move. This is making it hard to figure out what I'm going to do while my dance class is on hiatus.
My dilemma: I am no longer teaching a class on Thursdays, and won't be for most of the summer. My pole dancing class has also been cancelled due to lack of teacher (due to lack of free child care). What shall I do in the meantime? I would love to add another night of climbing to my week, but I dislike the idea of doing it two nights in a row (currently I climb Tuesdays and Fridays), and I don't want to be exhausted for softball (Sundays). So, no climbing addition. I could go back and take another dance class at the school, but zumba and salsa aren't really appealing to me at the moment. Also, my cat is insistent that since my sister and her cat left, she is lonely, so being at home with her is kindof important as well.
I also can't add a morning work out any more... I just began "flex scheduling," which means I come in 1/2 an hour earlier and stay 15 mins later so that I can take an extra day off every 2 weeks. So it looks like my best bet is to bring some gym clothes back to work and start trying to run during lunch (again).
*I will not be discouraged*
I'm going to learn to love to run. If it's not too hot, I will run around the baseball diamonds outside (if I make a playlist that only lasts 1/2 an hour, I will know that when the music stops I have to head back inside to change and clean up!). If it is too hot, I'll use the treadmill to control my speed and intervals and improve.
I want to find joy in running. So I am here, live on the interwebs, committing to 2 days a week of at least ATTEMPTING to run during my lunch. After all, I can eat pretty much any time.
