So Close

I went below the lowest weight I remember weighing throughout jr. high and high school today. I hit a weight that my body hasn't seen since fourth grade or earlier. That is kind of trippy to me.

I wore my favorite dress from from high school last week. I bought it at a low weight when I was 15. It didn't fit me by my junior year, but at age 40 it fits now better than it did at 15. I loved Esprit. I wore it to a pot luck, and I asked my husband and son to hike a hill with me after the potluck. They were both afraid that I had picked a difficult trail, so to prove that it was easy, I said I'd hike it in my dress and flip flops. So I did. So I wore my old dress while hiking.

I got a mere 14 pounds until I reach my goal weight.. but really I think I am aiming to lose another 24 pounds (14 plus another 10)... I figure if I am okay with being 150, then I should give myself a little 10 pound range to stay in (between 140-150). This way, I can eat a big meal and not have it bring me up over my goal weight. I will admit that when I first started spark people and this site set me a goal for the year of 60 pounds (I weighed 340 back then), I chuckled. I would have never imagined back then that by at age 40, I would have ran a marathon, lost 176 pounds, and changed my life completely. It's surreal sometimes, but it feels so good.
