I went to the 'back' dr this morning. He confirmed that my back probably isn't causing my leg pain, although it is possible. (How's that for covering your bases?) After poking, prodding and squeezing my leg, he gave me a couple of samples of a lidocain patch for pain. I haven't used them yet.
This afternoon I had another formal PT session (as opposed to the daily ones I do at home). I realize it may be temporary, but this is the best my leg has felt in seven months! I'm praising the Lord for this (even if temporary) relief. So, the bottom line is that it looks like PT will help with the leg pain, if not eliminate it altogether.
Moving on: we had horrendous heat last week, as did much of the country. Saturday we tied a record of 101 degrees. I really don't know what the heat index was, but DH and I stayed in the house. We're grateful that we didn't lose electricity as did some of the country.
We had our PA kids and grands over for a July 4th cookout/eat in supper. Later we all went down to the banks of the Susquehanna River at Harrisburg and watched a wonderful fireworks display.
I've been knitting and crocheting some, but mostly reading the last book in a series. It's over 800 pages long. I'm going to be sorry to see the end of the series as it has been entertaining. It's the "Children of the Earth" series by Jean Auel and is set somewhere in Europe (I think) towards the end of the Ice Age. Outside of the people worshiping "Mother Earth" I've been enjoying the series.
