Sometimes the problem is that things just didn't go according to plan. Sometimes the problem is that I just didn't have a plan. So what? That is still no excuse for just giving up.
It is Monday morning, and i am getting back on track after a few days of less than healthy choices. Giving up would be failure; getting back up again and moving on is success! No point in giving in to negative self-talk. Instead, I choose to view this as a good opportunity to take some time to reflect on what is working for me (daily exercise, lots of water and fruits and veggies), what isn't working for me (not tracking, weighing, and measuring vigilantly and staying within my calorie range), and what my next steps are.
Taking it one day at a time, one step at a time, is how I built the healthy habits that I do have, so I am going to use that as my strategy for building this habit. Just for today, I am going to focus on tracking diligently and staying within my calorie range. I don't want to complicate things for myself, but there is another thing I want to factor in as I am tracking. From recent articles I have read, I think I might have more success in my weight loss efforts if I eat fewer carbs and more protein. This is a major shift for me (I love my carbs!), but, from what I have read, I think it will make a difference. So, like everything else, I will work on this one step at a time. I love that the SP tracker gives me a range, and I can easily plan each day so I stay at the middle to low end. No excuses, no problem!
So, that is my plan for today, and I am sticking to it. I CAN do this!
