Red Hot Heartbreaker Challenge #1: For The Body I Want

Sunday, July 08, 2012

Here are my measurements:

I hate how little difference there is between my hips and waist. It makes me feel so unfeminine

My Goals
My goals ~To run/walk a sub 45 min 5k, To kick my bad habit of sneaking food up to bed to eat (I'm only hurting myself!) and to get in 10 minutes a day of exercise even if it's just rocking out to some tunes
Start weight ~ 262
One Voice (7/25) ~254
Relaxation (8/15) ~247
Labor Day (9/3) ~244
World Heart (9/29) ~240
Total loss aim ~22

My Eating Habits:
I am definitely eating for the body I have and not the one I want. I am the best at justifying just this one meal, day, week, weekend, month, life...
I am going back to vegetarian during the week and allow meat on the weekends. My weight started to move the wrong way the moment I reintroduced meat into my diet. If I'm a responsible vegetarian and I keep all the processed packaged foods to the bare minimum I'll have this thing in the bag!

My Body Idols:
I'm not a country music fan, but I appreciate Miranda Lambert for looking like a normal human being

I also really love that actress Ayla Kell looks healthy and not emaciated like far too many young actresses

And finally, I really can't stand her as a person, but Hope Solo is a phenomenal athlete and a fantastic fitness role model

I don't have to love her to admire her kickin' bod

As part of this challenge we need to do two things that took us out of our comfort zone. These are mine
1: I actually wore a sleeveless shirt out in public. This is very rare behavior for me, but it's hotter than the basement of hell outside and I just decided that I couldn't care anymore. It really wasn't that bad. Nobody threw fruit or anything!
2: I did a wii zumba workout with just a bra on and in front of DH no less. I have this irrational fear that I look like a total geek doing the zumba moves and Tony will see my clumsy attempt at dancing and decide he's no longer attracted to me. I just don't like exercising in front of him. No comments from him, but a few inappropriate hand placements from him showed me I shouldn't worry about it in the future ;)

Finally, I need to show a photo of myself at the beginning of this challenge. This is me before the infamous wii zumba incident. Certainly not my proudest moment or best look

I love Miranda- she is such a spitfire. Shows you dont have to be a size 2 to have sass and spunk. I used to not like to wear sleeveless shirts, but when it is hotter then the basement of hell(I love that!! haha) I dont give a ratz azz what people think... Keep it up!

"hotter than the basement of hell outside" Ha! Maybe if they had thrown fruit at you, you could have caught it and had some as a snack.

I love Miranda Lambert and completely forgot about her when writing my blog. She is such a natural, down-to-earth girl who basically has the attitude of "if you don't like me, you can shove it." You especially see this when it comes to people talking about her body. I like the "hotter than the basement of hell outside" comment. So funny, and so true! Good luck during the Heartbreaker Challenge!! You can do it!!!!

"The Zumba incident" haha You're so freakin' cute! YAY for inappropriate hand placement from your fella! HAHA I used to worry about it, but now I am like "Look, I need to workout, find something to do, join me, or shut up, ok?" haha Good for you! Love that you are breaking out of your shell. Great blog! What fantastic participation!! WooHoo! I agree, Miranda looks like a normal chick! That's what I'm aiming for.. not skeletal, but healthy! :) XO

I understand how you feel about working out in front of your hubby. I hate working out in front of mine- it makes me so self conscious. Miranda Lambert is a good body image role model. I forgot about her. She is herself and is totally unapologetic about it, and has a good sense of self.

Hang in there, you can do it!
