If everybody looked the same, it would be boring. We all have different body types and the places where fat is distributed varies.
The most important thing we must ACHIEVE is ACCEPTING BODY IMAGE. This is an extremely difficult thing to do but it is something we MUST do in order to have fulfillment in our lives.
We must accept that we may NEVER look as good as a supermodel, we don't have the body type to wear certain styles of clothing, etc. What we MUST NEVER accept is that we cannot become extremely healthy or look the best possible for our body types.
It is amazing what we can actually do, how good we can feel. If we push ourselves to test our limits and exceed them, we can come to know just how much we CAN do. We must not "baby" ourselves by thinking that we cannot push ourselves. Our bodies were meant to be challenged and we shouldn't neglect that.
Our inner most light shines when we use will power and inner strength to overcome the struggle of life. Amaze yourself by putting forth the effort when you would rather not and you will be surprised at what you can accomplish.
In 2 years, 2005-2007, I dropped 187 lbs and 75 inches, one of the biggest accomplishments of my life. It was a testament to my physical strength, my mental clarity and inner strength. Had I not done this extreme effort, including 8 hrs a week working out at a gym, I would have never known just what I could accomplish.
The issues I had that led me to be 348 lbs didn't go away and unfortunately I gained back 153 lbs. I came back swinging, in 2 1/2 years I have lost 102 lbs of that and still working hard!
I struggle with body image because even though I have lost so much, I still don't look thin. I have another 51 lbs to lose according to the doctor. I look way better than I did but for some people of society today, I have something wrong with my body.
I have been thin before and I also had many critics. No matter what size you are, somebody will always have a problem with you. That is why it is important to love yourself for your body type and work at being healthy!
