Yea for the weather break! But, we still need rain desperately.
I had a tough day food-wise yesterday. Maybe it partly had to do with all those days of high heat, but also hubby took 3 days of vacation, so he was home from Tues until next Monday. I did ok until Friday. Itís pizza & movie night at our house for years. I do usually try a lot of the tricks like lots of veggies, make my own crust, precooking the turkey pepperoni (but donít tell hubby that itís turkey pepperoni or he wonít eat it). He doesn't like beans or tuna either. sigh!
I tried hard to stick to my food plan, but he had other ideas for food choices and wanted to order pizza, I like to please him.
Anyway, when I ran a trial report, I saw I was way over on sodium, calories, etc. So I adjusted dinner and snacks to help offset it, but the damage was done. The really neat thing about it all is that I could use those handy dandy Spark tools to see where I was going wrong ahead of time. Before my 20 days with SparkPeople, I would have just given up in a funk having that awful feeling of having failed or having to start over. I would have known I was over on calories and fat, but I would have had no idea that sodium was out of the ball park. Now I know it's just one day. I can pick up the next day with what I learned and go on from there. Thank you SparkGuy for your wonderful idea, I'm very grateful, You are
